Renting out your holiday home

As the Summer holiday approaches, many holiday homes are posted online as a short term rental on AirBNB or BookaBach. Renting out your holiday home is a good way to make some extra money with many fetching good amounts over the holiday break.

If you decide to rent your holiday home, you will need to tell your insurer. If you don't tell your insurer and something goes wrong, you may find that you're not covered. 

Holiday homes and rental properties fall into different insurance categories and it is important to talk to your insurer to understand how this could impact your insurance cover.
